Happy Holidays with Tiffany & Co.

This years Tiffany and Co. held a holiday gathering in the intimate settings of the Christine Klassen Gallery filled with beautiful landscape art and iconic jewelry. Sorry for the fuzzy images. I ran from work, to my apartment, and to the event. Of course forgetting my camera. 

One section of the gallery showcased some brilliant pieces that included this huge ring. With a price tag of $22,000 I was most definitely eyed by security the entire time trying it on.

The humming bird through the magnifying glass is one of my favorite pieces from the gallery. There were a few others that had butterflies.

Here's some evidence of trying on various pieces. These are from the Atlas collection which is also in a previous post.

Our little gift to take home. I was anticipating a crystal ornament as is usual from the past Tiffany events around the holidays. But, we were all happily surprised with something wearable.

Tiffany & Co. Atlas Has Time on His Shoulders

 

The Atlas collection has been around since 1995 and Tiffany & Co. has given it a bit of an update with some major additions to the classic collection. After a press preview last week my favourites were all the rosegold pieces and the oversized roman numeral bracelets. There were some very reasonably priced pieces like the Bar Pendant and Lariet, the rings were versatile and I was told have been used as wedding bands. I have to say the simplicity of the line makes many of the pieces stackable (like my last 2 image) and interchangeable with jewellery you may already own. Also, the addition of some micro diamonds gives the Pierced Bracket a little Tiffany sparkle without being obscene.

Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Collection 2013

Last night was a glamorous one, where I tried on amazing pieces from the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Collection 2013 while drinking champagne and of course eating the adorable chocolate covered strawberries. Pieces were shiny and definitely deserved being placed in that pale blue box. Everything was beautiful and I tried on as many pieces as I could, unfortunately my photo of the $727,000 ring got corrupted or who knows what. Oh well, it's better for my boyfriend not to know, he would likely have a heart attack if he saw it on my finger, but only because of the price. This event was an extension of the Ball held in New York and the pieces were brought especially in for our viewing and for select customers. They were only there for the evening and were to be quickly and safely swept away to what I can only assume is another glamorous viewing.
